I really liked this one, and not for reasons I would normally. I liked the fact that Phury waffles back and forth and breaks his promises and doesn't know what he wants. And the subplots continue to be awesome, drawing me to the next book(s). I also like the way each male and female character is totally different - sometimes in romance series like this they seem to blend together, because each is really just a character type. Cormia really has her own personality that is very unique.
One thing keeps jarring me out of the story in this series, though - I can ignore the overly slang-y speech of the younger warriors (who actually says POS for piece of shit or abso for absolutely?), but the product placements are just weird. I almost feel like the author is getting a handout for mentioning them. I mean, the brand of a suit - ok. But mentioning a Kohler sink? What is that? That doesn't make it seem more real, it makes it seem less real. I have no idea what brand my sink is.

En sær, rodet oplevelse, men dog med sine øjeblikke.
yes, i seem to be reading this entire series of vampire bodice rippers...
Eh.. so far, this one I liked the least.. it was kind of boring-ish, tbh..
I was frustrated with the will they won't they and by the end I was screaming in frustration. I was also frustrated with the entire Chosen stuff. I did like the ending though. I was getting a little tired of Phury's hero complex too
I've had this series for two years now. I read the first five books in about a month, but I still have yet to get beyond the first few chapters of this. I think Phury is a whiny, punkass who needs to get his shit together and quit smoking all that herb. Man the fuck up already. I can't even read the rest of the series because I can't get through his woe-is-my-life characterization. UGH.
Boy this was the third one in a row that I did not love. I was looking forward to Phury's book but he was made out to be so pathetic it ruined it for me. Hoping these don't keep going downhill or I may quit after next book.
it was a little all over the place at the end. to much going on. but I was very happy vishous was found and nalla was born.
OMG!!! This book was so good. I got it the day it came out and I couldn't put it down. JR Ward has done it again with this book.
