This was my least favorite not because I don't like Phury. It just took me longer to get into the book than the others. Phury was too accomadating for my taste. I wasn't sure what to think of Cormia. I understood the being "one of the chosen" but I couldn't identify with her at all.

My favorites were back Vishous and Butch (not enough of them though). I liked the fact that he was able to get away from the smokes and that Z and him were able to find some peace between them. Can't wait to read the rest of the novels.

Not one of my favorites by J.R. Ward but enjoyed the development of the story around Blay/Quinn/John.

Yayyyy

Oh man. This one is creeping up the list as on of my favorites. Was it a little drawn out and possibly lengthy, yes. But so much happened between so many characters to move the story along. I could have devoured this book! It is keeping me excited to see what is next.

While I really loved this book, it was also a bit much. Too many point of views. I loved the book before this one because it was minimal. This one was in the POV of Phury, Cormina, Scribe Virgin, Omega, Rhevenge, Xhex, John, Quinn, the new forelesser, Lash, etc. It was over the top a bit. Too many stories.

I kept having an urge in repeat while I read this book...

It explained a lot, it drove me insane. The only thing driving me to the end was that I had to know what was happening. The reason it gets 4 stars is because of the recurring characters and a little the new ones not because I liked Phury, he was a total moron.

I was reluctant to read Phury's story because he was so messed up but once I started I was too deep to stop. Phury was an addict and that is not something you can change or stop in the first pages of a book. There were moments that had tears falling and other times had me laughing out loud. With each book of the brotherhood you have a continuation of all the brothers lives

This one tried to tackle drug addiction as a theme for Phury. I had a few issues with that. It seemed repetitive in some areas, and I think it conflicted with prior information. Phury's problem was with something called red smoke, which one of the earlier books described as less dangerous and less potent than marijuana. Based on how this book treated his addiction, that clearly was not the case. Red smoke was obviously worse. I think that contradiction put a bit of a damper on the whole thing for me. Aside from that, I think the story was good.

This was probably my least favorite book of the series so far. I love the characters and enjoyed all the sub plots but the two main characters and their story? Not so much.

really good.
