This might be one of those rare cases when the anime does it better than the manga - Soul Eater seems to work better when it has color and voices and can come alive on the screen with its madcap humor and flashy action scenes. Not to say that the manga is bad, it's just makes for a better animation than something laying flat on the page. This might be a series where fans would want to stick to either anime or manga less they risk disappointment.
