I have seen the anime, so I knew fanservice was present. But, holy crap it is even worse in the manga. Hoping it dies down as the story progresses.

So, I'm going to continue on with the manga because I know it extends beyond the anime and I loved the Soul Eater characters dearly! But man, the oversexualization of the female characters (most of whom are teenagers!) is just not fun to read, to say the least. It's something I expected because I remembered it in the anime, but maybe it's because they toned it down or because I'm older, but it just seems far worse in the manga. That's definitely going to always have a factor for me as I rate the other books, but I still remembered the charm of the series and how much I grew to love these characters as I was reading, so I'm still looking forward to the rest of the series and seeing the rest of their story.
