3.9 AVERAGE

I already watched the anime, it's less perverted and it's close enough to the manga so I'm not going to keep reading the manga.

It’s about damn time I read Soul Eater and it did not disappoint

Granted, this is not a five on the literary masterpiece scale, but as far as everything I look for in a manga, this was it.

I picked this book up randomly at Barnes and Noble because it had the most installments and I really really liked it. It's funny, it's sexy, it's got a lot of action. It took me a minute to get into the language-- I'm not up to date on my Japanese stuff and I didn't know what a scythe was, but once I understood, I really got into it. Enough so that I immediately turned around and bought the next five installments on Amazon.

For real, the only downside was that it was $12 and I finished it in an hour.

Glorious.

If it weren’t for the gross sexualization of the female characters this would be perfect. Though I feel like it adds to the satire and camp of the whole thing, being a shining example of a action manga series while making fun of action manga and its tropes

...This might be an unpopular opinion, I really enjoyed the story, but the writing was kinda meh. *shrugs* there's not much else I can say. I'll probably keep reading it though.

Prologue chapters were interesting but also contradictory possibly? Or maybe some were later?
Love the art style, very unique. Story is interesting enough. I don't really understand the place fan service has in this story. It's been kinda awkward...
