The girl was a spineless doormat most of the book, got a bit more respect for herself by the end, but not that much.
I was anticipating Sam's and Aisling's story. It did not disappoint. It was a great story. Can't wait for the next book in the series. I fell in love with Mafia romance from LJ Shen.

I'm a huge fan of this author, I've read all of her books and liked/loved them. Monster sadly not so much.
I did love Ashley though. She gave me lost vibes in the beginning but that quickly changed. She dominated as a character and gave freshness to the story.

So when I read this book I didn't realize this was the third book but I am glad that you can read it as a stand-alone in a way so I had to go back and read the other two but ended up reading the second one instead of the first so I'm still not completely caught up but I ended up falling in love with the story.
La primera parte fue lo más repetitivo y vergonzoso de la vida pero la segunda me gustó. That's it.
You have to love dark, mafia romance to root for the Monster, Sam, and the wealthy princess, Aisling
This is a very dark romance. Some of it is hard to read. A tormented mafia boss. A rich little princess who’s been in love with Sam, the Monster, since she was a kid. He’s been paid off by her family to never touch her. But. Her sweet, innocent devoted persona is not what it appears. There are secrets revealed. Sam does everything to turn Ash away. He’s brutal and humiliates her. But then a revenge plan against her father takes an unexpected turn and Sam discovers Aisling’s true self. It’s a dark, brutal story. Hang in there until the end for the HEA. Not my favorite book by far. But I certainly had to read until the end.

Sam and Aisling's story felt flat for me, they didn't behave or talk like what the storyline, world-building, and character's background needed it to. I enjoyed previous books in the series, The Villain was good, but this one just didn't cut it for me, I love dark romance, I have even read about H being a bully, being a sadist, and even a cheater, I have no triggers so this is not the problem here. I understand that sometimes the h lacks the spine bone but eventually grows and develops but Aisling felt too short from everything. Sam on the other side is supposed to be this character I read about from previous books and when the time for him came it crumbled my expectations, the way he acted, his dialogue is not what I envisioned and looked forward to, this felt more like a high school drama than an older man, it just didn't match. I might have had a bigger expectation from the blurb, but in this case and in my personal opinion I think it just wasn't the book I expected.
The audio version was honestly entertaining but i will listen to anything voiced by Savannah Peachwood & Jacob Morgan.
An absolutely beautiful reading!! LJ always amazes us with her creativity and beautiful writing… as you may know this is the third installment of the Boston Belles, each woman represents Fierce, Passion, Power and Love, each one in a very unique way! I’m already looking forward for the fourth installment of this series of female empowerment!
