i loved the book and i enjoyed all the events and twists unfolding however the only reason im giving this a 4 star is bc of the way william treats tessa. i just find it irritating when males in books leave the heroine with so much mixed signals and then just shows how much he cares all along when she’s on the verge of the death.
This is straightforward, linear, YA fantasy done right. This is not the book for fans of large-scale, high stakes epic fantasy. This is, though, a very entertaining read, and I think the simplicity benefits it. I would have liked it even more 3-4 years ago.

This was incredible. The characters drew you in, & made you love them. The plot was definitely plotting! Tho I did predict a certain something, it didn’t matter. This is truly a work of art.

Actually took me a while to get into the book and I wasn't really sure what I thought of it. There seemed to be a lot going on all at one but now I have finished the story I realised it didnt really tell you anything and very cleverly leaves you needing to reading #2!!
I am intreguaed to find ut more about Tessa and her heritage particularly what she is. And also about Will as there seems to be alot going on there that obviously we will find out about in the next book.
I am loving th fact that they have a black cat in the book called 'Church' as I too have one :)
All in all I enjoyed the book more that I thought I would and feel like I need to read Clockwork Prince NOW to find out what happened.
