i read this book in a couple of days. i was soo excited with it. the book was scary and suspenseful, and radical. i loved everything about it. The characters were really well described, as was the plot. I have read TMI, and compared to that, at first i thought that the characters related really closely, but then, as i read more into the book, i realized that the characters were different. For one, in the first book, Tessa is recognized as a warlock. Clary was a regular shadowhunter. I love and hate all the secrets that both Jem and Will have about their past. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action, romance, suspense, and Cassandra Clare. i heard about this book through the Mortal Instruments, and anyone who has read the Mortal Instruments should read this. I like this book more than TMI, and i had high expectations after reading it.
No me esperaba para nada el plot twist final, lo he flipado mucho. Me encanta la protagonista, creo que tiene mucho potencial, Jem me encanta y debe de ser protegido a toda costa

How much will loves jem always gets .e high. I may not rmbr the plot but i ofc rmbr dynamics
And i feel deep female fremships are often portrayed im books but deep sensitive male friendships arent even TMI alec&jace dont have this layer of depth to them. Like yes v intimate v personal buf sth abt will n jem is just more
PANDEMONIUM CALL BACK. THW WAY I SCREAMED IN THE PLANE CUS WTJELL
CLARY FAIRCHILD GET YOUR ASS HERE
Dark sisters wldve loved you rip
Call me a geek knowing what ik now cus tjat she ends up with the guy she saw first (i mean fine she gets both of them eventually but ya)
Demkn pox
AND SENSOR BEING BY HENRY
OUR INVITATIONS WENT ASTRAY and finally in tmi the find a random invite to magnus party
Overall writinf in CA puts TMI 1-3 to shame cus Cassie the writer you are. But still valentine/sebasti3n are still the better written villains. Mortmain to me is still abit more 2d but its ok cus the depth of characters make up for it.
I'd say TMI is more plot driven and CA/ ID are more character driven. Cus is their dynamics and love for each other tbat hooks you in more than Mortmain plot. I actly dc as much.
But i was geniunely afraid kf Valentine and then Sebastian.

I’ve heart from many people that this is one of the best Cassandra Clare’s series. I gave it a chance, I really did; however, I dnf’ed :/
Had I found this book in my teenage years, then perhaps I would have liked it, but now this story just feels boring to me. The book explicitly tries to be funny at times, but to me, the humor is mid here.
One thing that kind of ruined the reading experience for me was that I went into the book with certain expectations. For example, I expected the fantasy world to be more immersive (kinda?). I also couldn’t really resonate with the characters, i. e. I hardly cared for any of them (however, I couldn’t figure out why exactly I felt this way).
However, it was nice to see some characters I already know from the other series, which gave me a sense of nostalgia (*cough* Magnus Bane *cough*).
All in all, I cannot say anything really negative about this book, but there was almost nothing that could hook me up too.

One must always be careful of books and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.

Meraviglioso, l'ambientazione di Londra è così suggestiva!
Lo stile di scrittura della Clare è migliorato tantissimo
