Matthew Reed was betrayed terribly by his fiance when he was dealing with cancer, his life was in limbo and didn't know if he would survive but his fiancee chose to seek comfort with someone else. Two years Matt is still feeling the burn where women are concerned, but when he meets Skylar Morgan he feels something he has not felt before, unfathomable interest.

Skylar has a boyfriend, but he is never around. When her father asks her to step in and take care of her half sisters kids, Skylar is not sure what to do. Her family is a mess and she had never met her sister, she is on a fast track in her career and adding three children is a huge commitment. It drive her boyfriend out and quickly makes him an ex but she finds comfort with Matt. Matt is supportive and offers Skylar advice, but he also wants to be with Skylar. Skylar has had a life where men always leave, can she trust Matt to protect her heart.

At times a little melodramatic, but overall I thought this was a good story. Matt has one part of the story that I kind of wished they had had a bigger conversation about but it gets resolved. Liked both characters and will go back to check out other books in this series.

Two more brothers and I get my life back!

I loved Matt. There were timeline problems but I don't even care because I love Matt that much. He had such a great story with Sky. They were so sweet and real. It just made me happy.

I have been waiting for Matt's story since he was first introduced in Tall, tatted and tempting. Matt stole my heart in that book, as he appeared to be in a palliative stage of his illness. This story finds him a few years down the line, in remission but still single after the heartache of being dumped after diagnosis. Matt is everything that all the other Reed brothers are, tall, blonde and gorgeous but also with the biggest heart. This book plunges into Kendra's funeral, a fellow cancer sufferer of Matt's and half sister to Skylar. Sky is asked to take on Kendra's children and Matt is a willing helper. I loved the connection between these two even if it was instalove. They moved extremely quickly and I would have enjoyed a slightly slower pace. However, this was easy, lose yourself reading and I did enjoy it.

I am totally intrigued by the hint of Paul and Friday, so I'm fairly desperate for their book. I hope it's coming soon. The Reed brothers and Tammy Faulkner never disappoint.

I was provided with a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This was a book that hit all my weak spots, threatening tears randomly throughout.

I've been looking forward to Matt's story for a while and with this one I'm satisfied. Not as much a fan of this one as the others, but still a decent romance.
The love here though was just way, way too fast for me. And the ending was just too miraculous.

With these books, the real world aspect has been a huge draw, yet I feel like a hypocrite even mentioning the ending since, I love HEAs and that hope of magic in the every day gives such a good feeling. So it hit me wrong this time, but I'm not really complaining about it, just stating.

Can I get a story for Seth? He seems like such a good kid and I really hope things work out for him as an adult.

Paul and Friday are next!! Totally love Friday's style, so I'm excited for this one (Yup, already borrowed it ;) I'll be reading it within days~)

Seriously, is there a Reed brother I won't love? I don't think so. Matt is amazingly awesome and I cried for them (their HEA was that perfect).
