Mr. Shusterman didn't disappoint. He introduced a whole lot of new characters from the sanctimonious tithe Miracolina, to that fascinating Camus Comprix!
So excited for the next sequel, because as wonderful and thought-provoking as this book is.... it has left alot of questions unanswered.

Shusterman is at his best when he is creepy. Unwind is one of the best YA books I have read in the last 5 years; UnWholly stands up quite well. In fact, it might be even creepier than the first. The unwinding process is further explained, as well as how we really got to that point. The scariest part of all? It isn't that implausible.

The new characters meld well with the old. There are enough references to book 1 to bring everyone up to speed. And, while I think I have figured out the plot twist that is likely to come, I still can't wait for book 3.

Turning out to be such an amazing series! Excited to read the rest of the books, but also scared cause that’s a lot of room for heartbreak.

I liked this better than the first one. Don't get me wrong, the author is fantastic and his writing is excellent. I just felt the first book was far more disturbing than this one. This book is not a stand-alone. It moves the story forward and the characters show growth and development and even though you can tell it's building up to something big later in the series, there's still a ton of action. I like how the story is playing out so far and I want to keep reading the series.

Wow. Just finished. Well done Mr. Shusterman, well done. More thoughts later after I process this book.
