It took me a while to read this- it wasn’t my favorite, but I didn’t hate it. I liked how it was different from the other fantasy/romance books I’ve been reading lately and I enjoyed the characters. The romance pairing wasn’t shoved down my throat like most books. I think this would have been a 5 star if I was in the mood for it.
I liked the concept of the Wilderwood and the magic system plus the ending is always a redeeming factor for me while I kinda expected some of what was going to happen, it was tasteful.

I loved the idea for it, I loved all the lore that was built up in book but for me, personally there was so much world building I just never felt overly connected to the characters, and I felt myself feeling like the relationship between the two mains sprung up out of nowhere after saving each other a couple of times.
