Entertaining, but a slow start. I do plan on reading the sequel.

Bit sad, but definitely enjoyable. Not predictable, which I appreciate.

I liked this book until the last 10 percent or so (don't know what page, but around the time WWI portion). At that point, it seemed to become a little silly. Once the final confrontation of Elizabeth and Gideon started, I found it very silly and rushed, almost like the author was ready to be done with the book and threw out an expected ending. I probably won't read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I often forgot we were traveling through centuries with this author. Often i am annoyed by authors transitions, hers were so smooth i continually forgot I was so enraptured by her story.

This is the kind of "throughout history" witch continuum I can get behind. The stories over time were varied enough to keep my interest, but the characters were consistent enough that I connected with them.
