Honestly, my favorite part of this book is the dedication: "To MEM with whom I discussed the plot of this book, to the alarm of those around us"

I'm afraid to ask how many eavesdroppers I've scarred over the years.

I'm going to be honest. I felt a little cheated by this one. I must've missed the subtly laid clue--Christie does always play fair--for either the mystery or the romantic subplot.

All in all, though, I'm rather enamored by the table turning aspect because, well, that was fun. Anything I missed was probably on me because I read bits and pieces over a few days.

Very entertaining, cosy Winter village mystery. I guessed some of the mystery but not the murderer. The edition I read had a couple of instances of racist language.

Another excellent Agatha 😊

Actually guessed the murderer for once (though some of the circumstances were still a surprise), but it didn’t take anything away from the intrigue and enjoyment. The perfect cosy winter Agatha Christie.
