- Pros: liked Astrid’s plotline, HGTV vibes are fun if not a little underdeveloped (I don’t know that I ever got a strong sense of what this house looked like), queer smut is always nice

- Cons: almost everything about Jordan lol. Astrid is 100% rude in the opening scene, but Jordan is a bitch for no reason the whole time, questions whether Astrid really thinks she’s queer or if it’s an experiment, actively sabotages Astrid’s job when she should really be taking it up with her brother, and doesn’t really grow as a character? It doesn’t feel like she fought for anything - the designer job lands in her lap because Astrid lights her reputation on fire and she doesn’t speak out about her role in it. Otherwise, Meredith is a meh plotline - I do like that the salty ex in these books usually has a come to Jesus moment, but the cancer survivor turned flight risk stuff felt unnecessary. Why couldn’t she have just woken up and decided to leave without telling her?

- Other thoughts - I wish we’d seen more of Isabel? Iris Kelly does this better with her family IMO. And this might be my naievete but I’d think their lie would guarantee the episode airs for the drama alone, nothing about Natasha gives the impression that this was an academic design critique show

- Overall enjoyable but definitely prefer the other two.

Eh. I didn’t really connect to this one. I think that the premise was confused and I didnt feel like I got to know enough about the characters to feel like the resolution was satisfying. Astrid is hired to help redesign a local inn owned by Jordan Everwood’s grandmother. The inn is being featured on a makeover show, which would mean a big boost for the inn and Astrid’s business. Jordan doesn't want the designs Astrid has drawn out, seeing them as without character. Jordan decides to make her own designs and convince Astrid to pass them off as her own so they are taken seriously. They start having sex (shocker) and it eventually comes out that Astrid’s designs are not her own. I dont remember the third act fall apart (bad sign) but I feel like one of them was much more to blame than the other and yet they both apologize to each other. Not great or memorable, the first book was much better.
