The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a classic book. It is a novel that everyone should read. I enjoyed the story. I realized quickly that Huckleberry was smart, observant, and street smart too. I enjoyed this book! If you would like a classic book then go and read Huckleberry Finn today!

I read this after I read the newly out, James by Percival Everett. I hadn’t remembered much of this book from when I was in middle school. And I remembered even less than a thought (although I did remember hating it). The adventure and action of it all is not for me. I love the relationships and interaction between characters but some of the writing seemed lazy in its use of dialogue to explain everyone’s perspective on an event. Reading Huckleberry after James makes me want to read them at once, one scene at a time. I think I’d fall in love even deeper with James if I found the time to do that.

You can't simply choose to forget a crime you committed. It stands the test of time, it exposes you, makes you think twice, again, and all over. Twain's book is just that reminder. And while many people today—probably embarrassed by this reminder— may try to silence it, I say it's worth reading. I really think it is. And nothing changes that. Because this is being human.
