cute

I enjoy this series. It’s a romantic second chance book. I was frustrated with the heroine when she was trying to keep her son away from his dad since she was still angry about their past breakup and his behavior afterwards. I am happy that she came around

I really enjoyed reading Griffin and Britta's story. You knew it didn't end well the first time around would the second time be the charm? Griffin had issues. His issues had issues. But now he has a son can he convince Britta to give him another chance? I enjoyed seeing Britta give Griffin a run for his money. He wanted his family but was he ready for the work it would require? I loved seeing him with his son. I love seeing him finally realize that he needed to give Britta everything. Even if I did not expect what it would entail. This story was well written and emotional. I enjoyed seeing Griffin find his happily ever after with Britta and his son.

More Than Need You is raw and almost too real. This is not a book you read, you feel it. There is no denying the love Britta and Griff still have for one another. The hurt they placed upon each other is soul deep. Emotions felt by Griff and Britta are so vividly and beautifully delivered, the reader can’t help but to experience the rawness, determination and passion.
I honestly don’t think I can’t find words to do justice to More Than Need You. Griff and Britta’s journey is intensely heavy, emotional and sexy. I loved the vulnerability and healing. The way Ms. Black weaved emotions through music was not only equine, it added intimate moments with the characters and the story itself.
More Than Need You, the second book of the More Than Words Series broke my heart and put it back together. I don’t know what Shayla Black has done but I hope it never stops.

Wow...Shayla Black is usually known for sizzling erotic romance but this book was so different and yet so much better. I can honestly say I have not read a story so raw and so emotional than this in a very long time. The characters of Griff and Britta have such an honest and true love that struggles to endure all their baggage from deception to lack of trust. This story had me in its grip from the very first pages to the last. My emotions ran from crying to laughter and from anger to an appreciation of what true soulmates are supposed to be. I cannot explain how great this story was. Five stars are not enough. This is one book that you cannot miss.

I've had this book finished for two days and literally had to sit and think about whether I could write a review worthy of it. I'm still sitting here trying to think of ways to describe how profoundly this beautiful, deep, complex, real, honest, and magical love story filled my heart and my spirit.
What struck me the hardest was what a very real and raw note Ms. Black struck with these characters. The root of the conflict, in which both people have been hurt and are terrified to move beyond their hurt, digs deep to things every one of us goes through in life--as well as the point that we reach when deciding whether to jump off the cliff and risk the core of our heart again for the reward of everlasting love. Ms. Black builds this twist of a premise up with two unforgettable characters, especially in the hero, Griffin Reed, who's dealt with deep-seated demons by becoming an A-Class douche as a grown man--though even the height of his most awful behavior, is so agonizingly self-aware that you just want to hold him and help him wake up! The knife twists deeper, because he realizes he WANTS to wake up, and just doesn't know how. He's a drowning man without a swimming instructor, and my heart just twisted in all the most incredible ways for him. He is COMPLETELY my kind of a book boyfriend: an alpha deeply in need of his true love's kiss to get him out of his mire.
That magical bond is provided in the form of Britta Stone, a single mom torn between following her heart's deep desire or giving her son a stable and happy life. ANY mom, single or not, is going to relate to this conflict--and respect Britta for all the strength she comes to know about herself in the midst of it.
As awesome as the set-up is, I have to say that the last act of the book is absolutely my favorite part of the story. The way these two finally resolve their fears and come to find each other, as well as the bow it gets tied up in, had me savoring every damn word of the book until it was finished.
SO WELL DONE. I'm so smitten with this series!
