"Life is messy. You know the only time it's not? When you're not living it- when you're just going through the emotions"

"-Thank you,- I said.
-For what?-
-For seeing me the way you do-"

This one just became my favorite Vi Keeland book. I absolutely love the story. I have read a few of her books now and I am always surprised how quickly the storyline sucks me in every time I start a new book by Vi Keeland and I finish the book in 24 hours at least. She has risen to the top of my favorite authors list

DID NOT FINISH

I managed to read only 5 chapters so I don't really understand the high ratings. The story was far-fetched from the beginning with the wedding crash not to mention that the MC is a Rothschild. It happens very rarely to me that I drop a romance novel especially so soon in the beginning. The characters and situations felt too plastic to me and the thing with Stella's business is very predictable. Simply a Cinderella story with some Upper East Side snobs isn't my cup of coffee...
After this I will really consider if I want to read another book from this author. Maybe it just wasn't a lucky pick for me, sorry.

This was a book with a genuinely healthy relationship between two good and adult people. I can't believe that there is so little of those that I'm so shocked and pleased by it.
And Hudson was such a good dad. He was... what every dad should be. Not even a father but simply a dad.
And Stella is so smart! I relate to her about the diaries, I love reading love stories because it gives me a window into people's lives (even if they're fake).

i liked the book but oh my god i never wanna hear the phrase “signature scent” again
