4.5 and probably tied for my favorite hendrix offering with final girls. this book was hilarious, creepy, clever, disturbing, engaging, and moving - aka all things i’ve grown to expect and love from grady hendrix. i would die for a visual adaptation. loved this one.

It definitely gave me goosebumps vibes. I don't mind because that movie is one of my favourites.

I think until I can get my hands on an audiobook, this will be a DNF for now. Reading the physical copy was just boring I skipped whole chapters because it wasn’t catching my attention and the characters just annoyed me instead of making me invested made me want to quit reading it. So once I have an audiobook to go with it then I’ll pick this book back up.

really scary, but also such an interesting interpretation of grief. reminded me a lot of IT in how it used horror to make a larger point. definitely don’t read it if you don’t want to be kept awake at night, though.
