I really enjoyed Yulin Kuang's writing style - she made me viscerally feel the emotions of her characters. I appreciated the complicated relationship dynamics and emotions she explored in this book, but there were a few elements that felt under-developed (primarily I didn't feel like Grant had the kind of closure/character growth I was hoping for). Overall a very strong debut novel, I'm excited to see what she writes next!
