Probably too many ideas crammed into one book, but I loved the emotional mess. The restraint in the initial intimacy was super hot, and I fully believe in the love story after starting from the biggest emotional gap I’ve ever seen attempted. It got to me in the best way.

Edit: knocking this rating down a bit cuz I just remembered how cringey some of the lines are.
“I’m Grant f*ing Shepard. High school homecoming king” or whatever that line was.
It’s giving peaked in high school… I wanted to see them move past that stage and then not talk about it again lol. And they’re in their 30s so..
