easy read but cringey at times. some of the worst lines included: “land diving” (when referring to gymnastics) and “i can be anything for noodles.” should’ve had a TW for MCAT related content bc 🤢. there was a little bit too much talk about kinks and not enough plot but it got better toward the middle and end.
also why did Olive and Adam make an appearance???? not everything needs to be connected it’s okay to have a separate storyline. also girl wdym the epilogue is a few years later??? bro got his MD and PhD which is at least 8 years, and if he’s an attending doctor that’s even longer esp if he’s doing neuro so like not just a few years.
anyway the book was decent but i had to pretend the characters were not like 21 bc they can’t be younger than me that’s too weird

I went into this book thinking I was going to love it, but shortly after starting it wasn't sure if it was for me. And while I definitely liked Bride (my only other Ali Hazelwood read, so far) more, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ending up enjoying this book overall! I think it's mostly due to Ali's incredible writing that I enjoyed it so much despite it not being my usual cup of tea, and I'm immediately requesting The Love Hypothesis from the library!

5684828389384⭐️ let us be real, Ali Hazelwood just writes men better than most.

This book was everything, it somehow managed to top the other one I read not even that long ago(Not, in love), and I’m sure the next one I read will be my next favourite and so on. Scarlett was stunning, positively hilarious, the way she grew through the book, stunning, 10/10 no notes. Barb was also stunning, positively perfection, when she says ‘mi account es tu account’ I LOST IT! Such a sport, love her.

To be honest, I pretty much loved all characters, Pen, has her moment where I did not want to hear of her, but thank you for offering us a redemption arc worthy of her atoning for the rest of her life.

Now, Lukas, just, how?! Ali Hazelwood the woman that you are sending me on an existential crisis because this man is just too perfect. The ending sentence, like, excuse me, HOW DARE YOU?!

I need to go stare at a wall. I will be in the ‘deep end’ (pun intended) for the foreseeable, k bye.
