I absolutely LOVE Ali Hazelwood. I enjoyed this storyline and the spice level/chapters were so so so good. Love the call back to “Love Hypothesis.” Can’t wait to read more of her stuff in the future
medium-paced
my second Ali Hazelwood book. plot wise Bride was better but…the spicy scenes in this book…bellissimo.

(I have questions about what romance readers categorize as "spicy" - this is barely a M on AO3 and doesn't really get that deep into the kink/sex scenes?) This is a solid romance about two teammates on a swim team who end up getting pushed together by a mutual friend and then getting into beginner kink together and falling for each other in the process. The big conflicts here are mental blocks not allowing you to do things you know you were able to get before, and that friend mentioned prior inexplicably lashing out at both of them. I'm not that big of a fan of the resolution on the friend conflict or how it's handled, but they get to get a big gesture where she shows up in Sweden to apologize to him. Solid library read.
