FELT MORE LIKE INTIMATE LETTERS RATHER THAN ESSAYS. Best book of “essays” I've ever listened to, and definitely in the top five contemporary feminism books. The audio version is narrated by EACH AUTHOR!!! I enjoyed the variety of topics and voices -- especially the international diversity. A down-to-Earth, accessible book that 12,271 reviewers gave 4.06 stars on average. The more I understand about feminism, the more I realize that a LOT of people don't understand feminism.
Sooo. a hard book to rate. For me I thought that some essays were really good, interesting and should have been way longer while some essays were a bit poor executed. Don't get me wrong I liked reading about all these women and their experience of woman / girl hood but just some essays and stories felt not entirely unnecessary but just wrong executed I guess. I would still recommend it because it does has some great, inspirational quotes and essays. Not my favorite book but still a worth read.

I’ve always struggled with feminism. I want and believe in equality among sexes but I suppose you could say I was scared of the negative connotations the word ‘feminist’ brings from men and the media. But having read this book I am proud to say I am a feminist.
This book has reassured me and taught me about myself and my own values and has helped me see what’s important and what I, as a woman, should be fighting for.
The collection of essays from different woman has enlightened me and it has been refreshing to hear others opinions on feminism.
I would definitely recommend this book, whether you are a feminist or not.

There is no such thing as a good or a bad feminist, we shouldn't judge each other we should judge the patriarchy. Start by reading this book
