This book proved to me that I should read books when I buy them not 5 years later. I bought this in 2018 when I was just turning 21, it would have been a great read for me then. But where I am now in life and the way the world has changed so much effected how this book and I got along. There was nothing wrong with this book and anyone in their teens and early 20s should read this book. But I just felt like most of the book was to simple for me and lacked some depth that I was hoping for. You could also just tell that this book was not current which is fine but did give me a strange felling inside. Some of the essays did blow me away and I will keep thinking about and come back to often (Lolly Adefope, Keira Knightley, Nimco Ali and Jameela Jamil). Overall a fine book and I am glad to have finally read it.
