I’ve always struggled with feminism. I want and believe in equality among sexes but I suppose you could say I was scared of the negative connotations the word ‘feminist’ brings from men and the media. But having read this book I am proud to say I am a feminist.
This book has reassured me and taught me about myself and my own values and has helped me see what’s important and what I, as a woman, should be fighting for.

The collection of essays from different woman has enlightened me and it has been refreshing to hear others opinions on feminism.
I would definitely recommend this book, whether you are a feminist or not.

I loved reading all the different stories written by some amazing womens. It really showed that feminism is different for everyone and was truly inspiring.

3.5 stars. Some of the essays and poems were excellent and showed me a new perspective on feminism. Some of them however were boring and taught me nothing new, in fact didn’t feel related to feminism in any way! I liked the part at the end, ‘ A Short History of Feminist Theory’ by Claire Horn, and I liked the overall message I got from this book that there is no perfect feminist; to be trying is enough. It would be good for teens or someone who is very new and wants to learn some basics about the topic

The book focuses on all sectors of feminism whilst challenging the myths of feminism placed by the mainstream media.

I learnt about feminism history, experienced different perspectives of feminism from different walks of life and what it means to fight for equal rights for sexes.
