Think I got whiplash going from Check & Mate to Deep End. I've never really been into sports anything, but I guess swimming is my secret door to being okay with it, because when I knew the end was near I was muttering to myself how we better find out about what happened at the Olympics. The overall story I have mixed opinions on. I love when people write about BDSM properly, but Pen is the worst kind of human, and I wanted someone to suplex her into the pool from the highest diving board. The lack of communication makes for good romance writing but it irks me a bit in this kind of story. The male narrator was a perfect pick for this story. It does not beat out Check & Mate as my so far Ali Hazelwood favorite.
