This story had the least angst of the series, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
A 21 year-old woman and a 32 year-old man. He's her uncle's best friend. Their support of each other in this time of healing and transition for them both was lovely to read.

Read this in a day... I just like O'Roarke's writing style and her characters.
Going in I was skeptical from the cover and description, but I was pleasantly surprised! Dual POV, slow burn, well-written smut, and some info is withheld for a good chunk of the book, so you’re curious to see what that info is.
I will say that the slow burn was just that- too slow. I felt like the tension wasn’t rising as much as the characters claimed it was? Idk, as a reader, things felt the same for too long, imo.
And I give the author credit- they broke some norms! I fully expected Harrison and Daisy to get caught (that’s what “always” happens with forbidden relationships like these) and I expected them to get engaged by the end because again, that’s what always happens. Ik an engagement is implied, but still. I appreciate that she didn’t make it as cliché as a lot of other romance books.

Oh I loved this final book in the series! It was sweet, sexy and also serious. There were some serious themes that were done really well. I loved how the lead female Daisy and lead male Harrison grew through this book and how they helped each other in so many little ways but also huge life changing ways. It was beautiful to read.
There was a really good twist as well which I didn't see coming which gets extra points.
I loved their romance, it grew so well and had perfect amounts of sweet and spice.
Both characters have their own issues and their growth and support for each other was my favourite part.
Daisy is hilarious. She oozes sex which made Harrison's life rather difficult at first and her banter was forever making me smile. But she isn't shallow, she has a lot on her plate and has also been through a lot of hard times. I thought she was actually very mature for her age. She also brought out the fun and happiness out in Harrison.
Harrison is a really interesting character and went on a really big mental journey through this book. He has always been a good man but has settled for less than he deserved in the past and it left him heartbroken anyway. So to see him getting what he really wants in this book was lovely.
I recommend this series so much to anyone that loves some smutty romance!

Predictable. Less explicitly spicy than I thought it was going to be. Just taboo enough where it’s a bit forbidden but not gross. Tho i feel like the author tried too hard to keep reminding us that he knew her as a kid, which made it feel a bit gross. I still liked the main characters. Their love for keeping secrets and keeping thoughts to themselves got annoying though. Also their whole relationship and why they love to be around one another is 100% just bc of lust. They bond over surfing and that’s it. Most of the time they are either thinking about sex or actually getting each other off. I don’t think this relationship would work out if it was real, but I’m happy this is fictional bc I can be content with it. Even tho they spend most of their time with sex on the brain, there’s only like one full explicit sex scene. The others are just making each other orgasm and/or “he ate me out and I sucked him off. Then he railed me against the kitchen counter.” It’s not explicit but it is frequent.
