I read this in The Assassin's Blade book with the rest of them, but I decided to write a review for the individual novellas instead of together as a whole. I love this look at her past, her fire and impulsiveness. I like the fact that in Throne of Glass, she's a bit more mature. Then, there is Sam! I fall more in love with him every time I read about him. I'm so very excited for the final novella.

oh sam i could never hate you... this one i think was the most character developing and i rlly enjouyed

Goddammit, Sam Cortland.

“She just prayed Sam wouldn’t get hurt.
In the silence of her bedroom, she swore an oath to the moonlight that if Sam were hurt, no force in the world would hold her back from slaughtering everyone responsible”

OKAY I LIED THIS IS MY FAVOURITE NOVELLA EVER. Ughhhhh this was so good and ughhhhh I love Sam so much and ughhhhh I don't want him to go :((

All I have to say is.... YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! So happy to see Celaena and Sam back together and see their story progress!!!!

Once again, this was a fairly quick read (I definitely could have read it faster but 'tis the season...for endless homework), and the twists were very...twisty. Some i definitely saw coming, but some took me by surprise. I was obviously excited to read about Sam and Celaena, but I was also very interested to see how Aryobynn and Celaena's relationship progressed. Let's just say I was very surprised. So far, this may be my favorite novella so far :)

I gave it a 4/5 stars (probably more like 4.5) only because what was to be the biggest twist, I called half way through the novella... but some of the other details still shocked me. You'll have to read to find out and I highly recommend you do :)

The romance finally bloomed in this book. I've been waiting for this moment. Celaena and Sam are so badass together.
Also... the plot was good. I hadn't expected Arobynn to be so two-faced and cruel.

I really really hate Arobynn.

Brahhh I hate that foo fr

Aw, Sam. So much love for this dude!

I think my favorite part was the excerpt from ToG at the end :D

I hope no one came looking for an intelligent review of this novella because it is almost 1 am and all I am capable of doing is professing my love for this series.
