Though most of this book was leading it to a 3 star rating, the last 2hrs were just the same as the last book, where both the MCs went back and forth one at a time as to if they should or shouldn’t be in a relationship for one reson or another. It was excruciatingly dull.

My exhausted brain needed something light and easy to read and this did the job.

SpoilerI personally didn't find it even a little bit okay that he held a gun to his wife's head and that kinda ruined any chance the book had at having me root for the romance.

As the fifth book in the Windsor series, I had high hopes and it definitely met them! Raya and Lex are literally perfect for each other and I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two of them but they must overcome deceit and past trauma, which only makes the book that much more of a page-turner. One of my favorite parts about this book are the robots that Lex invented that help them around the house. There was a lot of comedic relief with them in this book that we hadn't seen in the Windsor series before. I saw the disaster coming from a mile away and it was somehow worse than I thought it was going to be. No regrets, though. Such a good read!

good not great still enjoyable

I just love this series and this family so much. The are always such fast paced reads for me! Lex is EVERYTHING not my favorite Windsor (Luca and Dion are top top tier) but the tropes and the vibes from Lex moves him quite high.

V touch her you die vibes as well. The 3rd act also didnt seem completely unnecessary like other romance books tend to be.

Some stuff is over the top, and normally you wouldn't care because it's just a romance book, but idk still this should make sense. I'm talking about the AI robots having emotions, it's exaggerated and as a cs major, that irked me.
Raya's bff Adam is so weird. They always touch each other so I expected him to have feelings for her, but it wasn't explained and it felt unfinished.
I understand Lex had ptsd but the gun scene was a bad one, I wish she used some other reason for third act break-up.
Without these they're a cute couple, Raya was quite confident and funny. And I liked the part where they were deceiving the paparazzi. Though it wasn't clarified that it was Raya all along with the wigs, unfinished again.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I wish it was a little longer. If only to flush out Lex’s trauma. I did love the end where he was willing to give her everything and also give her up was very sweet.
