”My turn,” she whispers against my lips, before leaning in for another kiss. “Choose Dare, Lex.”
I was so so excited to finally get Lex’s story 🥹 this sweet little nerdy love of a man has been my favorite Windsor sibling since the Wrong Bride and his book did not disappoint.
I loved learning more about his past and the trauma that shaped him into his closed off self and loved seeing him struggle through healing and becoming better for Raya.
Raya is such a bad ass woman in STEM and I loved her character! She was so kind and understanding and truly did everything she could to make things with Lex work, within reason 😌 she’s so intelligent and I loved the truth or dare and banter between the two of them.
I also really loved that in this book Lex was kindof his own big bad vs having someone come from the shadows like we have in previous books in the series! I thought that added extra suspense and tension and I really loved how everything was wrapped up in the end!

I just stayed up and read 75% of the book in one sitting. It’s 4:45am, in case you were wondering how much I was enjoying this book. I was actually extremely close to giving it 5 stars, but the third act breakup was a little too crazy for me (and there should’ve been more groveling).

This series has been so great so far you just love the couple and Lex and Raya are no different this is such a great book. I do feel this book is a little different from all the others. Lex struggle with his trauma and dealing with it the best he know how to feel safe is no different from Dion learning to fly for his wife. He is over protective but after what he went through i don't blame. Raya is a light of sunshine she loves her family and what is she doing. After reading what happened to her mother i don't blame them to feel what they are feeling. But lex won them over with his down to earth personality and actually spending time with both of them. I am so happy that all the girls took Raya in like nothing she is Thr missing piece in their group. And their second wedding sounds just amazing.
There are some mixed feelings about this one.
I really liked the first 70%. I really enjoyed reading Raya and Lex’s story up until that point. There were some trust issues that caused a bit of trouble here and there but it wasn’t something that ruined the book for me.
Raya was such a sweetheart and so incredibly smart; reading her side of the story and how she navigated this big change in her life while also trying to graduate from univeristy in such a complex degree was so inspiring!
And Lex, he wasn’t that in the beginning. He was sweet, smart, so overly jealous over nothing (the secondhan embarrassment here was off the charts because he acted before he thought and ugh, I hated it) and overprotective.
But I will never forgive him for what he did to Raya. I get that he was worried for his sister, I get his last trauma, I get the anxiety and the panic but he did something unforgivable to me. I was glad that Xavier was there and voiced my thoughts because wow, I never would have expected that from Lex.
It was such a big turn off that I didn’t even want them to be gathering in the end. It practically ruined the whole book for me. The only reason this gets three stars is for the rest of the book because it wasn’t that bad. The climax and the ending were not it.
