I found Talking at Night fairly enjoyable, along the same lines as One Day and Normal People, but I think those books did the ‘complicated relationship developing over time’ slightly better.

there are a lot of people who will find this book deeply frustrating and i get that……but also i really loved it

this … was heartbreaking
i couldn’t put it down. the lack of quotation marks really works because it’s so dialogue heavy (which i love). i loved rosie and will. i loved will’s nan. i’m so sad. i loved the story, it felt so realistic and the characters felt so relatable. like i said i’m sad and now i must cry about it
