Vapid and predictable. Yet I read the whole thing, so what does that say about me?

A really good, but very dark twisty thriller with layers of secrets to unravel. The mystery unwinds and uncovers more depressing turns to the story centered on bullying and it's impact. A hard read, but well written in its plot and characters

Guessed the twist pretty early on but otherwise a solid thriller.

One bride, four hens. A deadly secret. Will anyone make it off the island alive?

WOW what a book, this is an immediate 5⭐️ read for me. The blurb and the title grabbed my attention straight away and it was a rollercoaster from page 1. Sian is a fantastic storyteller and can really set a scene for the reader. What should be an amazing private tropical island suddenly becomes a living nightmare and you really begin to feel the space closing in on you. Each chapter is told from a different bridesmaid’s point of view with some of Poppy’s diary excerpts laced through the book. As we learn more about the characters it becomes very hard to like them. The tension builds through each chapter and I really could not put this book down.

I cannot believe this is a debut novel, I think I’ve found a new favourite author and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Most of the characters are unlikeable, I thought the premise for them all going to the island wasn’t believable, and it ended without true resolution. Meh. (Audiobook)
