I LOVE A GOOD ISOLATED THRILLER! Then the cherry on top is that it’s also a revenge thriller. These are some of the most unlikeable characters I’ve read from in a while. Somehow Gilbert still makes reading their POVs so interesting. Annabel, Ester, Tanya, and Chloe are some of the most selfish, unaware, and just vile human beings. A good thriller author shines when she can still make me care about the plot twists and mystery even with unlikeable characters. For this to be Sian Gilbert’s debut novel is actually insane and I’m so excited to read her future works. This has the making to be one of my favorite thrillers and it actually delivered. This is an amazing thriller to read during the summer and I’m so happy that I picked it up.

I feel a little bad that I disliked this one as much as I did

Suspenseful, but also predictable.

As someone not naturally inclined towards thrillers, "She Started IT" by Sian Gilbert was a revelation that left me thoroughly impressed.

The pieces came together well - just too soon. I knew the twist by chapter 6.

I saw the "twist" coming from about page 20. Knew how the entire book would end. Still somewhat enjoyable, but also sad.
