All of the characters melded together because they were all equally unlikeable. I liked Poppy’s diary entries, they provided some insight into what happened in the past, but even that was hard to believe. I don’t know anyone that quotes conversations like dialogue in their diaries. It would have been better to reveal these things in flashbacks.

This book was as fun as the title! I love a good revenge plot and this one was a home run and executed in a unique way. Especially loved the ending.

Had the killer figured out half way through tho it didn’t stop me from mostly enjoying the book. Not particularly great literature but a solid read, with interesting components.

Called the twist from the start but it was very entertaining and well-written!

This was incredible & by far is one of my best reads of 2024 so far! So unique from any of my recent reads, too. Centered around a bachelorette trip on a private island and stuffed full of extremely unlikable characters, past & present drama, & a heartbreaking story at the root of it all.

I love that it felt fresh while also not containing too outlandish of a plot. Psychological thrillers can tend to get repetitive & I feel like some authors scramble to surprise their audience. We don’t necessarily need to be surprised, just engaged, which this book succeeded at from page 1.

This was such a good, twisty summer read. Highly recommend!

I feel really really bad giving 2 star reviews but this was a flop for me. The format was confusing, I kept forgetting whose chapter I was in. The big twist was so so so obvious and also completely unbelievable at the same time. TW: for bullying which is super hard for me to read, but it got repetitive and eye rolling really fast.
I did read it in a day which bumped it from 2.5 to 3 stars but overall very meh.

Predictable with plot holes and you really need to believe a lot just to go with the basic plot. I knew the “twist” by 25%. Not my favorite.

Talk about revenge! Just when I thought I had it figured out I was wrong. Had me questioning everything I was thinking. Friends who were like sisters couldn’t even trust each other and they stabbed each other in the back numerous times. Somewhere along the lines that bond was broken and used against them.
