Talk about revenge! Just when I thought I had it figured out I was wrong. Had me questioning everything I was thinking. Friends who were like sisters couldn’t even trust each other and they stabbed each other in the back numerous times. Somewhere along the lines that bond was broken and used against them.

3.5/5, rounded down.

Overall this was an entertaining summertime, beachy thriller. My main complaint was I felt that the main four women were all the SAME. Very similar voices in their POVs, similar vainness, similar issues. I found myself checking who was narrating which part and which character did/said what to keep everyone straight. It wasn’t until the half way through point where I kind of got the swing of who’s who.

I was able to predict the twist, however the hints were peppered through almost naturally. That didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story.

The ending left me mostly satisfied. It just took a while for the story to get going. Just wish there was a little bit more.

I am not normally one that enjoys revenge fantasies like this one, however this surprised me and I read it fairly quickly.

I really wanted to like this book, but alas. I am not good at figuring out twists. Like very bad at it. And I figured this one out about a third of the way in which took away anything satisfying happening at the end. I kept reading mainly hoping for another twist. Gotta give this one a 1.5 rounded up to a 2. It’s not horribly written- I read it pretty quickly wanting to know if I was right- but overall it’s too easy to figure out and pretty crazily unrealistic.

great book! i can’t wait to read their next book that comes out next year.

This book was very well written, it had twists and turns that I wasn’t suspecting. My theory just kept changing. I did have to read this during the day with the light on.

These women… there aren’t even words for how awful they were! The endless bullying and selfishness. And oh the secrets!

That said, I couldn’t put it down. I kept wanting to know the next secret. And once you find out one secret, the next one begins unfolding.

Awful women, well written.

I had high hopes but it just fell flat for me. Predictable, fairly slow, and wasn’t even very exciting for me. The voices were good on the audiobook but the whole story just didn’t do it for me. The whole backstory was just so sad and heartbreaking. Wasn’t my favorite by any means.

This came highly recommended but I thought the writing was really bad. The characters were 1 dimensional and I called the ending nearly right away. The premise had so much promise but overall i just can’t get passed how cringe the writing was. I was debating marking DNF at the end dog every chapter lol
