Felt like reading And Then There Were None for the first time again. It was giving modern retelling but not a cheap knock-off.

Bullying, pettiness, was really hoping for something with more subsidence.

This book requires you to suspend your disbelief to an absolutely preposterous amount. Interesting idea, but executed poorly.

This book has left me speechless, but in a good way! I'm recommending this to everyone

Great summer thriller. Nothing spectacularly noteworthy, but the vibes are good for a summer read (isolated tropical island? Yes, please!), the story keeps you hooked, and the characters are ones you love to hate. Overall, an entertaining read that’s easy to rip through in one sitting. Ending is a bit predictable for the genre, but that’s part of the appeal, isn’t it?

I had such high hopes for this book but ultimately found the characters so unlikeable and the plot so sloppy that I almost DNF. I was somewhat glad I powered through with the twist at the end just for a sense of closure, but I even found the ending rather predictable, and the book probably should've been 100 pages shorter and just got to it sooner. It's overall quite the revenge story but the execution could've been better and the way the writing style didn't change much between switching perspective from one women to the other just made the whole thing feel flat. Still interested in reading this author's other book though, since it seems more of an "eat the rich" story (meaning I would go into it knowing I would hate most of the characters).

Fantastic read! Like Mean Girls, but way nastier. I love trying to figure out who did it and then the triumph when you find out you were right!!
