Not wanting to compare—actually wanting very much to compare, I'm so sorry—, but Binti: Home was so much better than the first one, in so many ways. Binti was very good, it really was, but I guess because B:H didn't have to establish much of a setting, as it was already established, or else because it was way more intimate and personal to the protagonist, I loved it so much more. The main character, Binti, shines in a way she didn't get to amidst the turmoil of the Meduse attack, she is an amazing character and I fell in love with her life and story. This is a delightful read, and a quick one too. Recommended to everyone who likes and wants good contemporaneous science fiction.

There are a lot of good parts here, such as the top notch word images and characterizations, but the whole is less than the sum of the parts. Just when you think the story is going to be one thing, it switches to another. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you just want to have the previous thing finished. This story also suffers from being a continuation of last year's [b:Binti|25667918|Binti (Binti, #1)|Nnedi Okorafor|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1433804020s/25667918.jpg|45491127]. Most of what you need to know is recapped, but I can imagine someone being confused if this is where they start. Perhaps more troubling, though, is that the story ends with a cliffhanger.

A wonderful kind of sci-fi, highly recommend it to anyone generally struggling with this genre, as I do.

meh, not much happened, seemed like a step to another book...

La trilogía de Binti está siendo curiosa: en el primer libro sucede UNA cosa y en el segundo, NINGUNA. Lo cual no está mal per se, pero no dejo de preguntarme por qué esto es una trilogía y no un único libro :(

An enjoyable read. Paced well and expanding on the previous novel. I’m not sure how I feel about the cliffhanger at the end. But I would like to read the next installment and find out where this all goes!

Feels like a fragment of a fuller story
