My first venture into Moon Knight and perhaps not the best starting place, but definitely a fun, wild ride. Gorgeous artwork, fascinating reality blurring storyline, and an unconventional superhero to stay the least. Looking forward to reading more!

A fast paced psychological thrill ride! This story kept me on edge and constantly second guessing the characters’ reality. This story is a unique take on a lesser known hero in the marvel universe.

For a character I know nothing about, Lemire and Smallwood have delivered a fascinating and exciting beginning to a super hero story. With Lemire's characteristically strong writing and a truly impressive selection of art--Moon Knight vol. 1 draws the reader into an adventure that threatens the fate of the world, while characters and reader alike try to determine what is real, what is fantasy, and where the danger truly lurks.

The ending is wild, and I'm not entirely sure where things are headed next, but this is a strong first volume, and I'm excited to see where it all leads.

Quite a fun introduction to a character I've only heard of in passing up to now, and quite the departure from the grand Marvel events I've been diving into lately. The ambiguousness around Marc Spector's mental illness was brilliantly done, and something I can't wait to dive into more as the series progresses. While there are a few bits here and there that fall a bit flat, mostly around the seemingly unnecessary soul sacrifices and the lack of development for the staff members at Marc's hospital, but overall the whole thing is a lot of fun and I can't wait to find out what unfolds with the 'alternate universe' aspects that were introduced at the end of this volume.

I've always been fond of philosophy of madness from Erasmus to Foucault. Moon Knight combines this philosophy with an intriguing story and great work of art. I wish we had a six stars option for this.

I'd read some Moon Knight before (the Bendis run?) And I seriously did not get it at all lol. I had no idea what was going on. This felt a lot better in that I still had no idea but the story was really compelling and "not getting it" was clearly the point.

The imagery of New York filling with sand amidst a giant pyramid was very cool.

And then he woke up. That's pretty much number one on my list of lame endings. But until it gets there, this book is cool but confused. The story never makes sense. And yet it kind of felt like an introduction to who Moon Knight is anyway. Or who he is at the moment. Pretty good art and for the confused plot, pretty good writing. And the ending could have been even more annoying. 3.5 of 5.

Solid start. Pretty confused by the end, but thoroughly entertaining and excited to keep reading.
