3.5 stars. I adoooored the meet cute and how they (eventually) worked through their issues and learned to communicate. The steam levels were also great!

It just suffers from being so short; I would’ve loved to see more gradual nuanced character development and some more zest to the plot.

After finishing this novella, actually, after reading a couple of pages of it, I was a little confused, shouldn't this book be the second one? I still haven't started on the second novella, about Anthony and Phillipa , but the impression I had was that this should be the second one instead of the first. Well, what's done is done, but if you're reading this start on the second novella.

What can I say about this story... Jocelyn is the type of heroine I would enjoy reading more about. She has a strong personality, and is not afraid to say what she thinks. Sebastian is the classic guarded hero, who doesn't trust women and doesn't believe in love. Isn't this kinda of a classic story?

To me personally, I think that their story had the potential to be longer. I would love to read about their time together, their conversations, the way they connected with each other...

Sebastian had such a complicated story with his mother and the resolution of it happened so fast, with no details whatsoever which was a little disappointing, not to mention how easily he explained his former mistress situation without an ounce of emotion, like WTF?

Again, I really feel like this novella would have been so much better if it was just a little bit longer, if we could get to know more details about the characters and their love story.

This was a very sweet story that could have easily been a lot better with more depth. I get it, it’s a novella, but things are happening so quickly, I almost felt like I was reading a summary.

All in all the story is cute. But the limited length doesn’t allow for much. If you want to read something quick (and I mean quick cause it took me like 40 minutes to read it) then it’s a good pastime.

It’s more of a novella, and I was a bit surprised (in a good way) that it still had enough plot.

It was a fast read, very insta-love (given its length) and it was okay. Not sure if I’ll read other books in the series.

This novella hit the spot. Short and sweet. A much needed respite from the typical drawn out angst ridden romances. A protagonist who communicates and a hero who learns quickly to reciprocate. Go figure.

This novella was the perfect audiobook to get my through a Saturday full of errands!

I realise that novellas are limited by their length but I will say it took me until the very end to really warm to the hero, and even then I felt Jocelyn was fat too good for him!

That being said, it was fun and easy and a perfect length for an audiobook
