i'm gonna be totally honest here and say that i could not for the life of me follow the plotline for this novel lmao. so much was packed into this novel and at this point, i'm not even sure there was a solid plot. it felt like things were all over the place and a lil underdeveloped, but that aspect didn't really impact how much i enjoyed reading this. this series is just so genuinely entertaining, i'd literally read the most miniscule thing set in this world and be totally fine with it i swear. the vibes are just simply immaculate. i loooved the marriage of convenience in this book, especially when the lines started blurring between their 'fake' relationship and their real feelings. and the character dynamic, ballet mafia princess and a hardass lawyer? hell yes!! <3
the thing about this series that literally gets me going the most is always, always the characters and i am so glad that sav r. miller continues to serve the best fictional beings. now... i related a little too much to ariana in a multitude of ways, which was like a slap in the face every time she called out her own self-deprecation and sabotage but that's neither here nor there. she was such a badass female character and i loved her strength. she endured so much pain in her life and she's worked hard to overcome it and how she bounces back. i wish we had seen a little more of her relationship with her sisters, primarily elena, especially towards the end, but i'm hopeful we'll see snippets of them together in the next book! as for cash... oof that man was just so delicious lmao. he was such a hardworking man and i loved that in public he was purely professional and stony and yet with ariana he had the dirtiest mouth. i love guys like that i swear. he was such a good support for ariana and their whole relationship progressed so beautifully. i definitely think they're my second favorite couple after kal and elena. i can't wait to see more of them!
i genuinely can only sing praises for sav r. miller's writing. her books are so easy to fall into from the first page, and i always look forward to picking them up whenever she publishes them. i know i can pick them up and any slump or lack of motivation to read will go away because i get so invested so quickly. while i did have issues with the plot and pacing of that, the characters and their relationship definitely made up for it. she really knows how to write tension and lust and build up scenes that just make you swoon. hands down a favorite author of mine, 100%!
another amazing installment in the monsters and muses series. i look forward to each new book in this series every year, they genuinely never let me down! i love the greek inspiration behind each couple/story too, i cannot wait to see who is next! i know the series is already at 5 books but i seriously hope that there are many, many more novels planned bc i love it too much to even think about it ending any time soon

I did really like this book but I think it was my least favourite in the series so far

This book was a terrific next installment of the Monsters and Muses series. The character developments and ways the worlds intertwine amaze me. The author does a fantastic job of getting you to fall in love with these individuals and hurt with them. You find yourself justifying their actions because of the turmoil they’ve had to endure.

This read like a spicy mystery and it definitely kept me guessing what the plot twists were!
I really enjoyed the banter between the two characters, with Cash being so cool and collected, and Ariana being a total spitfire. I also loved the appearances of previous couples, like Elena and Kal, and we got to see a little more of what happened in P&P from Arianas perspective.
I absolutely LOVED Cash! He was such a complex character and I wish we got a little more background because I just want to know more about him and why he was so closed off for the first half of the book.
There were a lot of plot twists and reveals during the last part of the book which overshadowed their story a bit, and much of it I had to re read over and over again to understand. I wish we knew a bit more about Arianas background too, as some of her actions sort of came from left field.
Overall an entertaining read!

Little nightmare and the Councilor.
So, look, I love a dark romance novel and I had read the last 4.5 books in the "monsters and muse" story and I enjoyed the majority of them. I was so excited when I saw another book was going to be released, however and I hate to say it, it didn't meet my expectations. I enjoyed it but definitely not my favourite.
Ariana Ricci lived a full life of a mafia family but was emotionally abused by her mother and father. Broken and alone, ex ballet dancer. After her father is sent to prison, she puts herself up for auction. Cash, moody, sexy lawyer literally drops MILLIONS to buy Ariana. Ariana, hot headed but determined to get whats (let's talk about the office scene pls

“I wouldn’t have ever given up on you, Little Nightmare, because it would’ve meant giving up all of that. And living without even an ounce of you would’ve been like living without the fucking rain: completely impossible.”
Cash and Ariana. Wow, explosive between these two. The first like 20% or so I felt like I could skim through. I loved Cash the whole book but it really took my awhile to warm up to Ariana and even at the end I still don’t know how I feel about her. Cash had his darkness but he was also innocent. Although I don’t know how I quite feel a about Ariana, I’m glad she got vengeance on the people she did, and the last one with her and Kal, finally!!
