im literally so in love with Cash Primrose. like i think he is #2 on my list of m&m men
adventurous dark mysterious medium-paced

Y’all… the amount of times Cash used the “my wife” had me melting in a puddle. AND HIS GLASSES?? I never knew such an item could be such a turn on. Sheesh.

I think Sav has done an amazing job writing bad ass heroines but Ariana?? She was a whole other level of badass, she was truly a fighter. Honestly that last scene with her and Kal just proved how much of a bad ass she is. I truly wished for nothing but the worst for Ariana’s mom and I was so glad she got what was coming to her

Nickname: sweet girl, little nightmare
Cash and Ariana

“I want her invading my blood, replacing it with whatever the hell makes her so beautifully chaotic.”

Ariana, my kindred, chaotic brat.

This book devoured me whole, chewed me up, & spit me out: in the hottest & most healing ways imaginable. I’m am still reeling as I kneel here, a week or so later, begging Sav to do it to me all over again, as soon as possible.

Sav’s writing gets remarkably better with each installment of this series. The cameos are masterful & subtle. Her characters are particular in a way that’s delightful, every single one. I’m convinced she couldn’t write someone boring if she tried. Ari & Cash’s respective & joined stories are a GUT PUNCH. Read the CW carefully & prepare for ow, my friends.

Sometimes, I think Sav is reading my diary. I don’t actually have a diary but the point stands. Do you ever read a kink & mutter, “how did she know?”. Sav did that thrice, in rapid succession, this time around (at 44%, if you’re curious). This is far from the first time she’s done this to me and it’s unnerving.

My only gripe is that I was a little let down by resolution of the conspiratorial plot. I’m not a connoisseur of mafia romance but I was hoping for an entirely different ending to this plot line. It wasn’t bad; it was just fine. The obvious wound up reality, when I was certain that’d be a red herring. This conclusion was underwhelming to the extent that I’m a little suspicious…

Despite the handling of the final organized crime plot, I was satisfied by the ending of Souls & Sorrows. As a self identified epilogue slut, they make or break a book for me. This epilogue is undeniably unconventional. It’s also well suited for Ariana, this series, & my bloodthirsty soul. Honestly, it could’ve been even more over the top and I would’ve been on board but I respect the journey.

Generally, I’d say you can read books of this series independently. There is a good deal of overlap you won’t appreciate as much but it’ll still make sense. You may appreciate this one in particular more if you read P&P first. However, folks tend to misinterpret/misrepresent a piece of Kallum (MMC from P&P) that is more explicitly flushed out here. I can guarantee that, after reading this one, you’ll run back to read P&P immediately, so however you’d like to proceed is fair enough.

I am a ride or die for the series and I am eager to get hurt again.

I love each book in this series! I don’t think anyone will top the first book but I am loving how each one adds more to the world. This one has all the tropes we know and love, you’ll definitely want to check it out ♥️
