Ariana Ricci is a troubled mafia princess. She has demons of her past as well as her present. When she is sold in an auction to dangerous, yet drool-worthy lawyer, Cash Primrose, her life is never the same...but maybe that's a good thing.

Souls and Sorrow is the 5th book in the Monsters and Muses series. I AM SO ADDICTED TO THIS SERIES!! Like literally "I can't wait for these to be on my physical bookshelf" addicted. When this first showed up in my kindle, I went wild...like literally "OMFGGGGGG!! IT'S HERE!!!!" Please remember that this is NOT a direct retelling, but more of a loose and has elements from the Eros & Psyche mytho. While this is a slow burn, it's definitely worth the build up. The characters are completely opposite and you would never have thought they wold match so well. The chemistry, the tension, the build up...good lord! I couldn't put this down. I looove how Sav throws in characters from previous books. It is sooooo fun to see their cameos. I thought this was gonna take me longer to read, however, I finished this within a day!

I love the monsters and Muses series, I'm excited for each new book. I really enjoyed this one but it wasn't my favourite and not in my top 3 of the series.
Mayor Alistair still is my top man of the series followed by his brother Jonas.

Also there was something missing in this book it felt like the book was in the same pase throughout I was keep expecting something to happen.

I LOVE this author and this series. While [b:Vipers and Virtuosos|58722688|Vipers and Virtuosos (Monsters & Muses, #2)|Sav R. Miller|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1636992910l/58722688._SY75_.jpg|91970767] continues to be my least favorite from this series, I really did not love this one either. I love the cover art and judged a book by its cover, thinking this would be my favorite of the series. The dedication and the first few pages also had me thinking that this would be a rough read, based on how much I related to it. But overall, I just did not connect with either of the characters. I don't think that is on the author per say, but this just wasn't it. I just was not emotionally involved in this installment and I was so hyped up for this book.

The writing is good, the story is good, the smut is amazing as always, and someone else may just love this one like I love the first and fourth books. Here is hoping that Book 6 comes quickly!
