So I was in Germany for Kendrick Lamar’s concert, and perusing some German bookshops when I came across this! Talk about serendipity 🥹

I can’t say that I loved this; I wasn’t deeply excited about the content 🥲 But I suppose people want to make reference to it and I can understand why they’d get into it. Sam Tzu serves deep knowledge of the human psyche and all that 🤝🏼

I’m giving this 3 out of 5 stars, thank you ✨

Enjoyable from a historical perspective but I just don't think this was my cup of tea. I liked the author's translation notes at the bottom. I think this book probably inspired me to interact with Chinese history more than it inspired me to interact with more philosophy.

Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for an advance copy in exchange for my open and honest review!

Better read than listened to as an audiobook.
