Really excited for second collection, Fixer. This debut has many strong pieces which are evocative and well-crafted but I hear a lot of lists. Sometimes I'm also left at the ending.

Lots of variety in type of poem.
Rough & tumble but in a way that makes me feel like the layers are peeled back. It’s not a prideful rough & tumble but a gentle, afraid, reflective, quiet, slow version.

Raw and near prosaic, this collection provides and raw look at working-class life beyond the worn-out tropes and stereotypes, along with an honest portrayal of a distinct kind of American masculinity that it constantly restless, on the move, and at times destructive.

This collection focuses on the daily trials of a working class, blue-collar family in America.

His storytelling was well done and his descriptions were very detailed. However, all of the poems seemed to wander off without any definitive point or end. Which, perhaps was the poet’s intention, but it left me wanting more from this collection.
