i love that the reason pip decides to research andie’s murder is simply because it sounds too easy. it makes so much sense for a smart 17 year old girl

A fun read but ultimately a bit boring I don’t think I needed this as an explanation for why pip want to do her project it’s pretty obvious in the series who she is and why she does the things she’s doing
it was a fun book but I read it after I read the whole series, while it was supposed to be read before the other 3 books
When I discovered this existed I knew I had to read it! A good girls guide to murder was one of my favourite reads from 2020 and this prequel didn’t disappoint. I loved being inside Pip’s mind again because I absolutely adore her and the murder mystery idea was soo much fun! Being someone who has taken part in a similar event I really loved seeing everything unfold and all the little clues too. I’m so glad I read this and now it’s made me realise how much I need to read good girl, bad blood because I still haven’t gotten to that yet! I loved it and it’s such a fun and easy read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This novella is really short but not much happens —as this is just a lighthearted prequel where Pippa and her friends host a murder mystery party— so the pace felt incredibly slow
It was a bit of a slog for such a short book and as my investment in the characters in this series is pretty low having them use pretend names and play other characters got a bit confusing for me😅
I also feel that this novella made Pippa feel pretty shallow. It is revealed thatthe reason she chose to do her capstone project on the Andie bell case wasn’t even really because she had this feeling that Sal was innocent all along, but rather she felt the case was too easily closed and pushed aside so there MUST have been a bigger conspiracy. And she felt this way all because she thought she was more correct in her answer to the murder mystery game than the writers.
