A fun beginning. RIP Zak, screw House Do'Urden. I hate how much his kin's brutal nature breaks his heart. If I were him I'd have gone postal, killed everyone then released the slaves. I can't think of anything more chaotic than killing everyone of those terrible elves. Lolth would love it.
In all seriousness it is so refreshing to read this book again, and again when Salvatore wasn't bitter that this character was his bestselling one. Oh well!

It's not a bad book, it just isn't very good. It drips mediocrity.
