Not an easy read, and very specific to the time period, but it's is not exactly hard to draw connections between what was happening at the end of the Industrial Revolution and the state of the world today.
All in all, a very important primary text, but not the best introduction to communism for the 21st century.

Im not gonna rate it. This just felt like I was a walking red flag. Anyways, at points I was reading it and thinking how did anyone think this would be a good idea. They were given really low equal pay and they continued being taxed even though the government chose to give them this money. (I’m not articulating this correctly). Two other aspects which seemed unfair to begin with is the fact that houses were already made so some people would get fancier houses, and other people would get sheds. This just goes further into the scheme of the government gets to choose who’s on top and who stays in the lower class. The second point is for schooling the government is paying for everything however some people get out of school at 18 and go straight into jobs and other people need to go into higher education, so how is this paid for? During the time this mostly accounted for the industrial society and higher levels of education wasn’t very abundant. However, now in days, things like engineering cannot be done without higher education. All in all I can see how on paper during the time to lower class that seems like a good opportunity, and something that they could fight for however, I can also see how this type of society would fail very easily animal cells no chance of survival it would have a slightly higher chance if it was built ground up without any base society that it was built off of and a uncorrupt government however, in the society, there’s no set way to check if it is a corrupt government. Even in the American government with checks and balances, and away to overthrow the person in power they’re still corrupt government so there’s really no solution.

I was really just living up my animal farm days recalling everything while reading it.

Brilhante. Muito disto é utopia, mas devia ser esse o objectivo por que lutar. Tantas ideias à frente do seu tempo e enorme garra por ideais admiráveis.

Pretty compelling stuff tbh

A must-read for anyone seeking information about communism.

This is a cornerstone work of leftist theory, and I am so glad that I've finally read it. It is a very short work that is pretty direct in terms of its message. It was significantly less technical than I expected, but I understand that that's because it was originally written to spread the communist ideology and less to detail how to achieve it because there are myriad forms based on a people's needs. Moreover, this message was primarily spread through skilled orators in the nineteenth century due to low literacy rates (don't forget about the rapid increase in literacy rates that is a byproduct of communism). I don't have a ton to say about this work because it's short, clear, and there's not a lot to artistically assess because it's theory. I recommend reading this work to gain a better introductory understanding of the goal of communism.
