This is probably my least favourite instalment of the series so far, however I still really enjoyed it. The plot was a little bit weaker in this one and it wasn’t until about half way through that I felt really hooked.

That being said it set up something really important (that ending though!) and had all the charm and humour that I love so much about this series.

Continues to be a gritty and fast paced paranormal from the other side of the pond, this time with a truly fascinating architectural bent. Rock on, Peter Grant. My heart is sad for you.

I suppose you could pigeon hole these books as an English Dresden files but that would be missing the whole point. The vocational detail, character traits, plotting and story make for books that, once you start, you are unable to put down. There is ONE problem, the wait for the next one! A bloody great read, great story and written so well that the city has a character as strong as the heroes and villains!
