I hated the way they treated Everly it made me so fuckin sad. Everyone was so mean to her and she was just trying her best. I cried so many times while reading this because it made me so sad to see what she was going through. I do feel like I missed out on some growth that Everly could have had I wanted her to find herself more than she did but I’m also happy that in the end she found someone to love and cherish her. Hux had it bad too that shit going on with his daughter was terrible and broke my heart I’m so happy they were able to get her out of there. I didn’t like how exposed Savannah was to the adults in her life fucking. They talked about her mom and step dads sexual proclivities a lot and even how she walked in on them before and then Savannah often made comments about Hux and Everly just fucking around and only being in it for the sex. It was weird.

Yess, cute, este libro tiene lo que me faltaba en el anterior, he conectado con los personajes y he llorado cuando ha llegado el momento de miscomunication

3.5 stars! I liked this book better than the first in the series. Everly is struggling to find her place in the world after the attack from her best friend's stalker and giving up her career of becoming a singer. After meeting Hux in a bar one night, the two have an amazing one night stand and can't get out of each other's heads. Hux is an artist in town who is struggling to get custody of his daughter because of mistakes in his past. When they find out that Hux would have a better chance of custody if he were in a steady relationship, Everly offers to marry him. What they don't know is this fake marriage will become very real to both of them.

I really liked the tension between Everly and Hux. The spice in this book was addicting. I also liked how as Hux grows feelings for Everly he starts to shed his grumpy persona. However it was super annoying that the conflict in the book was just the hero being an idiot and listening to other people trying to manipulate his feelings. I also don't think he groveled enough at the end considering how terrible he was to Everly.
