Wasn’t a huge fan. Also they quote Shakespeare way to much.

a modern replay of a classic Shakespearean tragedy.
very enjoyable. the only downside imo is overdone Shakespeare quotations.

but the plot is very good.
to the point where I would love to see another book from ML Rio.

This novel started out overwhelmingly good. I was super intrigued by the story itself. Also the chapters being split into 5 acts was a fun touch. And yall know I love a campus novel.

However I thought the murder happened a bit too quickly? Kinda felt like acts 3 and 4 got a little too loosey goosey. But during act 5 I snapped back into attention.

Not entirely sure this is a 4 star book for me — maybe a 3.75 but eh I’m being indecisive

It’d been a good while since I cried this hard because of a book. Thank you M.L. Rio for ruining my life (and providing me with the motivation needed to finally start reading Shakespeare).
